Stonewall County is nestled at the foot of the double mountains. Surrounded by incredible nature, regular sightings of wildlife are normal. Wide open spaces lend itself to beautiful nature. Hunters come from near and far to experience the white tailed deer, quail, wild hogs, turkey and dove. The Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos River and the Salt Fork of the Brazos run through Stonewall County.
Health Facilities
Stonewall Memorial Hospital is a critical access facility with two doctors and 27 nurses on staff. It has twenty beds. It also houses a full physical therapy department. They also offer speech and occupational therapy. An alternative program for seniors has also been added. Stonewall Clinic is open M-F from 9-5 and is accepting new patients. Gibson Healthcare Center
This nursing home is owned and operated by Stonewall Memorial Hospital. It is located directly north of the hospital. The nursing home has seventy bed and a wonderful staff of dedicated employees. For more information call 940-989-3526.
